Welcome
Hello!
Hi! My name is Janna, and I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. I stumbled into the Applied Behaviour Analysis course sequence as an elective during my undergraduate studies in 2017, and shortly afterwards got my first entry level position in the field. I've been hooked on the science ever since. I love that ABA can be applied to so many different aspects of everyday life, and I have always wanted to branch it out further. There is so much to learn in this field, and I will always approach my practice with a beginner's mind.
I have experience supporting neurodivergent children aged 2-14 in home, school, and community settings. I have been very fortunate over the years to have had mentorship from numerous innovative, compassionate BCBAs who modelled for me how to apply ABA in a collaborative and neuroaffirming manner.
Currently, I hold a full time position with the Langley School District. I have built this small private practice to support members of the community beyond what they may have access to in the public school setting.
When I am not engaged in behaviour analytic work, I enjoy playing softball, paddleboarding, going to spin class, doing yoga, reading, and playing board games.

My Approach
Change is difficult, and I celebrate progress over perfection. Many clients see me as the "expert" on their own or their child's behaviour. However, I am quick to clarify that THEY are the expert on their context, priorities and values, while I am their guide on their journey. Behaviour change takes time; there are no quick fixes. Whatever the goal, my job is to make a plan WITH you to meet it. Sometimes it takes more than one try to find what works, and that's just part of the journey. You know where you want to go and why, and I can help you get there.
